Prof. Dr. Paco Calvo is a renowned cognitive scientist and philosopher of biology, known for his groundbreaking research in the field of plant cognition and intelligence. He is a professor of the philosophy of science at the University of Murcia in Spain, where he leads the Minimal Intelligence Lab (MINT Lab).

Prof. Dr. Jens Krause is a behavioral biologist at the forefront of research on collective intelligence and decision-making in animal groups. His work combines biology, robotics, and artificial intelligence to uncover how living systems coordinate and respond to complex environments.

Prof. Vera Meyer runs the Department Molecular and Applied Microbiology at Technische Universität Berlin. Her inter- and transdisciplinary research projects combine fungal biotechnology with art, design and architecture and create bio-based scenarios for possible living environments of the future. Vera Meyer is also active as a visual artist under the pseudonym V. meer and uses the means of art to make society more aware of the potential of fungi for a sustainable future.

Ute Schmid is a computer scientist at the forefront of research on cognitive systems and explainable artificial intelligence. As Professor of Cognitive Systems at the University of Bamberg and Executive Director of the Bamberg Center for Artificial Intelligence (BaCAI), her work combines insights from psychology and computer science to develop AI systems that learn, reason, and remain comprehensible to humans.
Moderator
Prof. Dr. Oliver Brock is a leading roboticist at the forefront of research on embodied intelligence. His work combines robotics, computer science, and insights from biology and psychology to understand how intelligent behavior emerges through the interaction of body, environment, and control, and to develop adaptive robotic systems for complex real-world environments.
